Sr. Brand Strategist

Bugle is calling for a brand leader to join our growing team of makers. As Sr. Brand Strategist, you are a discoverer of trends, lover of insights, and user of data to tell stories that build relationships between brands and people. This opportunity is a chance to lead the brand development and execution for a fast growing home improvement company, to understand their business, and what makes them tick, and to identify areas improvement of their brand, architecture, positioning, experience, and service delivery.   • Curious, self-motivated, and passionate about asking the right questions
  • A love for out of the box thinking, critical analysis, problem solving, and a strong ability to articulate the ‘why’ behind your strategies
  • Able to take on the point of view of our client’s customers and advocate for their needs

Responsibilities

  • Think Big—Apply strategic thinking to develop big-picture brand strategies, architectures, and messaging that aligns with our client’s goals and deliver real value
  • Tell Stories—Use your skills to craft engaging narratives and campaigns that lead to compelling briefs and big ideas 
  • Drive Insights—Learn our client’s current strategies, reputation, and market share to develop a strong sense of strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities to improve their brand positioning
  • Remove the Guess Work—Design and execute qualitative research and uncover the right quantitative data to extract deep, rich insights that feed the foundation for compelling brand and creative strategies
  • Focus on the Future—Follow and predict trends to help our clients build a bridge from where they are to where they want to be and succeed in a changing marketplace 
  • Be an advocate for our clients and work to ensure our solutions fit within their ecosystems
  • Learn and understand our models, and make recommendations for their improvement 
  • Develop a knowledge of the markets and industries in which we operate and of our clients

A

Makers Who Qualify

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 7+ years’ experience in some combination of brand strategy, management, corporate branding,  consulting, content, strategy, and/or account planning role, ideally at an agency
  • Demonstrated knowledge of brand, digital, marketing and communications planning
  • Sustained track record to develop brand strategies and creative content that achieve brand objectives, are based in insights and data, and deliver measurable results
  • Experience with business, market, and audience research and analysis
  • Excellent communication skills (written + verbal) and storytelling ability 
  • Client facing, strong presentation skills are required 
  • Meticulous, patient, level headed, able to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude 
  • A hands-on, “roll up your sleeves,” action-oriented approach
  • Works collaboratively as well as independently
  • Proactive about gathering input and feedback on your work early and often
  • Excellent time management and resource planning skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced startup environment 
  • A work ethic powered by entrepreneurial spirit

Bugle calls for a creative writer to join our growing team of makers. As a Sr. Copywriter, you are a blend of strategist, storyteller, researcher, and problem solver. And you aren’t afraid to tumble down the rabbit hole in chase of a strange idea only to emerge having dirtied your tail with the facts and figures of three other topics.

  • 5+ years experience in some combination of brand, content, strategy, copywriting, and editing in an agency or in-house setting
  • Sustained track record in writing that achieves objectives, is based on insights, and delivers results
  • Master of your craft, able to produce clear, compelling copy along the creative spectrum and across a range of mediums and deliverables
  • Exceptional attention to grammar, style, voice, tone, and detail
  • Proactive about self-editing and gathering input and feedback on your work early and often
  • Experience with business, market, and audience research and analysis
  • Client facing, outstanding pitch, presentation, and communication skills required 
  • Works collaboratively with cross-functional teams, as well as independently
  • Meticulous and methodical, able to thrive under pressure and maintain a positive attitude 
  • Excellent workload and time management skills
  • A work ethic powered by entrepreneurial spirit
  • Can blossom in a startup environment
